Academic Excellence
St. Joseph’s Institution International (SJII) Singapore offers a well-structured and holistic academic journey from Prep 1 (age 4) through Grade 12 (age 18), blending strong academic foundations with character development and global-mindedness. In the Elementary School (Prep 1–Grade 6), students can choose between two distinct pathways. The Mainstream Programme follows an inquiry-based international curriculum enhanced by the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) and Singapore Maths, promoting critical thinking, creativity, and moral growth. English is the main language of instruction, with daily Mandarin lessons included. The Bilingual Programme offers equal exposure to English and Mandarin across all subjects, creating a truly immersive dual-language learning experience. This pathway is ideal for families seeking a rigorous bilingual foundation that develops linguistic fluency and cultural understanding from an early age. The High School (Grades 7–12) welcomes both Singaporean and international students, beginning with a two-year Foundation IGCSE course in Grade 7–8, followed by IGCSEs in Grades 9–10 and the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme in Grades 11–12. Students benefit from specialist teaching, exposure to diverse subjects, and a curriculum designed to prepare them for success in top universities worldwide.
Beyond Classroom
At St. Joseph’s Institution International (SJII), creativity, expression, and teamwork are integral to student life. From Elementary through High School, learners are encouraged to explore their passions in the arts, athletics, and co-curricular activities, developing both confidence and character beyond the classroom. The arts programme offers rich opportunities in drama, music, dance, and visual arts, supported by purpose-built facilities and a dynamic calendar of concerts, theatre productions, festivals, and workshops. Students can take part in Instrumental Programmes learning instruments such as violin, piano, drums, and flute, while art classes blend traditional techniques with digital media, preparing them for success in creative fields. In sports, SJII proudly competes as a member of the Athletic Conference of Singapore International Schools (ACSIS), where students experience the thrill of teamwork and competition. Popular sports include football, basketball, swimming, tennis, touch rugby, and track and field, while individual talents shine through in the National School Games for fencing, golf, sailing, and taekwondo.
