Built from a parent's search for the right school fit
Being a parent is a privilege. Choosing a school is one of the most personal decisions that comes with it.
Where this journey began
This project began in a very ordinary place — as a parent looking for nearby schools for my own children.
The challenge wasn't a lack of options. It was understanding which school would truly fit.
Beyond academics, I found myself thinking about questions many parents quietly carry — would my child feel happy here, feel seen, feel confident, and enjoy learning every day?
Over time, it became clear that a child's happiness is not separate from education — it is deeply influenced by the school environment itself.
How work shaped a broader perspective
At the same time, my work involved engaging closely with schools across different education systems and geographies.
This exposure led to a deeper understanding of how different curricula, teaching philosophies, and cultural contexts shape not just academic outcomes, but a child's overall development.
Seeing these nuances firsthand reinforced one core belief — there is no universally "best" school, only schools that are better suited to different children and different stages of life.
What remains central
Through both personal experience and professional exposure, one thing has remained constant — a child's happiness matters.
Schools play a powerful role in shaping these outcomes — which is why choosing one deserves thought, context, and care.
How ISF came to be
ISF emerged from the intersection of these experiences — parenting, professional exposure, and a growing awareness of how complex school decisions have become for modern families.
Over time, the platform naturally grew to support expat and relocating families as well — families navigating new cities, systems, and long-term transitions.
The intention is not to rank schools or rush decisions, but to provide structure, clarity, and perspective — so families can find schools that genuinely fit their children.
Education shapes lives.
Finding the right school shapes how children experience that journey.
