St Cuthbert’s
St Cuthbert’s
St Cuthbert’s College is a leading all-girls school in Auckland, offering an education that empowers young women to thrive academically, personally, and socially in a rapidly changing world. From Junior School through to graduation, the school is recognised for nurturing leadership, celebrating individuality, and supporting each student to reach her full potential in a single-sex learning environment. Girls benefit from an environment designed to foster confidence, independence, and self-belief, allowing them to develop at their own pace without limitation or stereotype. A distinctive feature of the St Cuthbert’s experience is the Kahunui Campus in the Bay of Plenty, where Year 10 students participate in a month-long, off-grid outdoor education programme focused on resilience, environmental connection, and personal growth. The school operates across two complementary campuses: its historic Epsom campus, providing an inspiring urban learning environment, and the Kahunui outdoor education campus, offering transformative experiences beyond the classroom. Facilities at Epsom include a state-of-the-art 25-metre lap pool with a moveable floor, a modern gymnasium, and an Athlete Pathway Programme supporting student development in sport. St Cuthbert’s welcomes international students from Years 1–13 and is proud of its culturally diverse community, with students representing regions including Asia, Europe, the United States, the Pacific Islands, and the Middle East. Through its balanced academic, co-curricular, and pastoral approach, St Cuthbert’s prepares young women to make a meaningful impact locally and globally.

Academic Excellence
St Cuthbert’s College offers a rigorous and future-focused curriculum from Years 0–13, designed to prepare young women for success in a rapidly changing world. Teaching and learning are underpinned by the High-Performance Learning (HPL) framework, grounded in neuroscience and international best practice, fostering deep thinking, academic excellence, and intellectual confidence. Strong foundations are established through structured literacy and numeracy programmes, supported by measurable progress tracking. Students engage in a broad range of specialist subjects, including Music, French, Physical Education, and visual and performing arts, delivered through carefully sequenced, age-appropriate programmes. Small class sizes and low student-to-teacher ratios ensure personalised support, with learning specialists working alongside classroom teachers. Innovation is embedded through the i-Explore STEAM programme, where students explore robotics, coding, computational thinking, engineering, and design challenges. As an Apple Distinguished School, St Cuthbert’s integrates technology thoughtfully to enhance hands-on, experiential learning, alongside explicit teaching of digital citizenship. In the middle years, students develop independence and leadership through structured pastoral support and expanded curriculum choices, including languages, Product Design, E-textiles, and technology subjects. At senior level, all students complete the St Cuthbert’s Year 11 Diploma, a bespoke, academically demanding programme that builds deep conceptual understanding and prepares students for NCEA and IB Diploma pathways in Years 12 and 13. Both qualifications support entry to leading universities in New Zealand and internationally, with many students also achieving success in NZQA Scholarship examinations.
