Academic Excellence

At Dover Court International School (DCIS), learning is personalised through three distinct pathways — each designed to support students’ individual strengths, learning styles, and goals. Pathway 1 follows the English National Curriculum, leading to I/GCSEs and then the IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) or IB courses. This route suits most learners and offers a supportive yet challenging environment where teachers tailor lessons to each child’s needs. Specialist teams provide targeted help, including an intensive English programme for students learning English as an Additional Language. Pathway 2 also follows the English National Curriculum but offers smaller class sizes (around 10 students) and Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) for more personalised attention. Students join their Pathway 1 peers for non-academic subjects, building confidence and social connection while progressing toward greater independence. Depending on their goals, they may pursue IGCSEs, IB courses, or vocational options such as BTEC. Pathway 3 provides the highest level of support for students with additional learning or social needs. With small classes of up to 8 and high adult-to-student ratios, learners follow individualised programmes that may include therapies and ASDAN qualifications or the DCIS Diploma. Inclusion remains central — Pathway 3 students actively participate in shared learning and social activities across the school community. Each pathway reflects DCIS’s inclusive philosophy: every child is supported, challenged, and celebrated, ensuring all students can learn with confidence and achieve success in their own way.

Beyond Classroom

At Dover Court International School (DCIS), students are encouraged to explore their interests and build lifelong skills through a rich and varied programme of more than 250 co-curricular activities. Options range from animation, debating, and 3D printing to joining the DCIS Wolves sports teams or earning the Duke of Edinburgh International Award (available from Year 9). The Primary PE curriculum focuses on developing balance, coordination, and agility, while the swimming programme builds water confidence and stroke technique across all levels. DCIS proudly competes in the Athletic Conference of Singapore International Schools (ACSIS), entering over 40 secondary teams each year, and represents internationally at the FOBISIA Games in Southeast Asia. Students broaden their horizons through expeditions to Switzerland, Borneo, and Tanzania, which foster independence, teamwork, and global awareness. Collaborations with The Juilliard School, MIT, and UNICEF bring world-class expertise into the classroom — enriching learning in the arts, science, and social impact.
