Canadian International School (CIS) offers a globally recognised and inquiry-driven education through the full International Baccalaureate (IB) continuum, preparing students from Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 12 for academic excellence and global citizenship. In Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 6, students follow the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP), an internationally respected framework grounded in best-practice research that nurtures curiosity, independence, and a love of learning. As an IB World School, CIS maintains the highest standards through regular external evaluations and continuous innovation in teaching and learning. From Grades 7 to 10, students engage in a rigorous, globally informed curriculum delivered within the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) framework. This approach builds critical thinking, creativity, and intercultural understanding while laying the foundation for senior-level studies. In Grades 11 and 12, CIS offers two distinct pathways. The Diploma Pathway leads to the prestigious IB Diploma Programme (IBDP), while the Extended Pathway allows students to customise their studies through a combination of IB Diploma courses, Advanced Placement (AP) subjects, and accredited online electives. This flexible structure enables students to pursue their academic interests in depth while earning an accredited High School Diploma, recognised by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).
