Beaconhouse Yamsaard School (BYS)

With roots dating back to 1984, the Beaconhouse Yamsaard School Group was founded by Khun Thamrong and Khun Prapai Yamsaard, beginning with its first campus in Ladprao, Bangkok. Over time, the group expanded to meet growing demand, adding a primary school campus and introducing enhanced programmes such as English and National Standard Plus, alongside a strong focus on co-curricular development. In 2007, this legacy extended to Hua Hin with the establishment of Beaconhouse Yamsaard School (BYS) Hua Hin, a bilingual school serving students from Kindergarten (K1–K3) through Primary (P1–P6) to Secondary (M1–M3). A significant milestone came in 2014, when the Yamsaard School Group partnered with the globally renowned Beaconhouse School System, founded in 1975 by Nasreen Kasuri. Today, Beaconhouse is one of the world’s largest private education networks, educating over 260,000 students across multiple countries including Pakistan, UAE, Malaysia, Thailand, and the UK. This partnership positioned BYS within a broader international framework, strengthening its academic direction and global outlook. As a bilingual institution, BYS Hua Hin delivers education through Thai and English, offering structured pathways such as the Communicative English Programme (CEP), Advanced English Programme (AEP), and Global Immersion Programme (GIP). The school’s curriculum is designed to align with future-focused educational needs—emphasising play-based learning in early years, and progressively developing strong foundations in English, mathematics, science, innovation, and technology in the primary and secondary stages. With a clear focus on 21st-century skills, leadership, and adaptability, BYS aims to prepare students for further education both within Thailand and internationally, while nurturing well-rounded individuals equipped for an increasingly complex global environment.

Academic Excellence

At Beaconhouse Yamsaard School, learning is designed as a progressive journey that blends the Thai national curriculum with international approaches, preparing students with strong academic foundations and future-ready skills. In the Early Years, the curriculum is based on the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and delivered through a play-based approach. Learning is structured around stages of Engage, Develop, Innovate, and Reflect, fostering curiosity, bilingual development, and early communication skills within a supportive environment led by both Thai and international teachers. In Primary (Years 1–6), the school follows the Thai Basic Education Core Curriculum, delivered through a Project-Based Learning (PBL) approach. Students connect academic knowledge with real-world experiences, developing critical thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, while strengthening English proficiency through the Global Immersion Programme. During Secondary (Years 7–9), learning deepens with a focus on STEAM, language development, and life skills. Students are encouraged to explore their interests across a broad subject range while building independence and preparing for future academic pathways. In the Senior Secondary years (Years 10–12), students continue within the Thai curriculum while engaging in enhanced pathways, including IGCSE-based subjects and the Advanced English Programme (AEP). A dual pathway with the Nanyang Institute of Management (NIM) Foundation Course offers specialised streams in Science & Technology or Business Studies, supporting preparation for university in Thailand and internationally. Across all stages, BYS emphasises bilingual education, STEAM learning, and 21st-century skills, ensuring students graduate with the confidence, adaptability, and academic readiness for higher education and future careers.

Beyond Classroom

At Beaconhouse Yamsaard School, students are encouraged to explore their interests and build essential life skills through a diverse co-curricular programme that supports creativity, confidence, and global awareness. A wide range of activities—from sports such as football, tennis, swimming, track and field, and taekwondo to enrichment options like Mad Science, coding, Chinese, and Project-Based Learning (PBL)—allows students to discover new interests while developing teamwork, discipline, and problem-solving skills. The performing arts programme nurtures creativity through music, dance, and expression, providing opportunities for students to build confidence and showcase their talents. Alongside this, a strong world languages offering—including English, Chinese, Japanese, and Thai—supports communication skills and prepares students for an increasingly interconnected world. Through these varied experiences, students develop resilience, collaboration, and a well-rounded skill set, ensuring they grow beyond the classroom in a supportive and engaging environment.
